Description

Purpose

The TBMS-MCS0800 is the main control unit for the T-BAT S2.5 and S3.6 battery systems. It is not a stand-alone energy storage device and has no kWh capacity of its own; energy is stored in the connected TP-HS25 or TP-HS36 battery modules.

Battery management and protection

The unit monitors system voltage, current, temperature and state of charge, controls charging and discharging, and applies battery-system protection functions. Maximum system charging and discharging current can reach 50 A, although the actual value depends on module configuration, temperature and battery state of charge.

Communication and maintenance

CAN 2.0 / RS485 links the battery to a compatible SolaX inverter for remote diagnostics and maintenance.

Installation and configuration

The unit is installed at the top of the battery tower. Depending on the selected battery range and compatible inverter, a complete system can use 2–13 TP-HS25 or TP-HS36 modules. The mechanical battery base and, where required, the series box are separate system components.
